About Us Joe Bloyd started JNB Studio in 2003 to pursue the jewelry arts. An accomplished jewelry fabricator and caster, he wanted to learn the art of hand engraving. However, a lengthy search for educational resources yielded only minimal results: the few scattered classes were limited in scope and expensive to attend (tuition, travel, lodgings, food, etc). Mr. Bloyd fortunately found Heinar Tamme, who was retiring at the age of 82. After buying a set of the videos, Mr. Bloyd was so impressed with the exceptional quality and comprehensive nature of the instruction that he wanted to make the information available to all aspiring hand engravers. He thus bought the rights, converted the series from VHS to DVD formats (adding navigational tools and bookmarks) and thus dramatically improving their durability and ease of use. After an absence of several years, this amazing resource is now available once again! We pride ourselves on our customer service, and are here to answer any questions you might have. Bear in mind that we are not master engravers ourselves, though our skills have certainly improved thanks to this series; we thus aren't always able to answer technical questions about engraving itself. Defective DVDs may be returned within 14 days of receipt, for replacement with the same title(s).
Orders are processed in the order that payments are received, and we ship every order as soon as possible. In practice this generally works out to within 5 to 7 business days of receipt of your payment. Orders placed on Saturdays, Sundays, and US holidays will be verified and processed on the next business day. We ship most orders USPS, delivery confirmation and insurance included. Orders sent to non-US locations generally require additional postage; we will contact you with an exact cost once we've received your order. We happily ship internationally, with the following policies. Additional shipping charges may apply, depending on location, and we insure all international packages. All customs duties, taxes, and fees are the responsibility of the buyer. We ship USPS, which we've found offers the best service for the least cost internationally, and which often ends up saving our customers money when it comes to customs fees. (This is particularly the case for our Canadian customers.) We will not mark any packages as a "gift" on the customs declaration; that is customs fraud and is illegal. If you are having trouble using our shopping cart and are using AOL, please try using another browser (such as Mozilla.org's Firefox) before giving up. We've found that making that change solves the problem for the vast majority of our customers. Any personal information you supply to JNB/ JNB Studio will be used only to assist us in verifying and processing your order. Personal information will not be disclosed, rented or sold to any other parties without your express consent. For transmitting your personal information to us, we use a secure server (SSL), which encrypts all of your personal information. This encryption process ensures that the information you give us is protected against unauthorized access. While we make every effort to ensure that your information is secure on our system, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. |
